Hey there!
I know, it's been quite some time since my last post. A lot of stuff has happened since then...it's all a bit of a fog, anyway.
Speaking of fogs....
Up here in New England we had one heck of a winter! Broke the record of total snow from 1978! That was the year I moved from Cali to Mass as a kid.
...wow, I just dated myself...oops.
Anyway, since my arrival in my old home town of Franklin, I've been busy with a lot of stuff, projects, weddings, work. Last spring I hooked up with 2 wedding videography companies in the Boston area and they kept me somewhat busy while I started to look for corporate work.
Well, they liked me so much, I have booked over 20 weddings this year with them, and they've asked me if I want to start booking weddings for next year! Nice little boost of confidence there!
Also, my corporate work has gone full-time. I'm the shooter/editor for a dance magazine that has a video division, DanceLifeTV.com Now I get to catch up on some over-due bills and start saving again for those 'got-to-have-them' special gadgets that make wedding videos awesome! SSSSSSllllllllliiiiiiiidddddddddddeeeeeerrrrrrrrr.........wheee!
Well, as they say in the business, back to the grindstone.
Until next time, have a good one!

i DO in HD would like to welcome Chad Macon to the team of creative shooter/editor. Chad has been in video production for 10 years and brings a different and creative view to the wedding experience. His talent blends wonderfully with what i DO in HD is all about.
Also in the news, i DO in HD now shoots weddings in 3 states, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Idaho. Be sure to indicate which state you're in when requesting information.
Thank you,

Getting Ready at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale, AZ
Saturday, July 10, 2010
We have arrived!
Well...
We made it to Massachusetts. Not sure if we made it in one piece, though. Hot and humid one day, cold and wet another, then nice, humid....etc.
I have shot a few weddings here already, and they are beautiful locations. Nahant, MA and Nashua NH.
But, aside from starting to get work here in New England, I have been almost on an obsession-based frenzy of getting all the weddings finished that I shot in Arizona.
There is a lot, unfortunately. Although I guess that depends on which side of the wedding business you're on - as a whole, its been great to be busy. As the only editor, not so much!
But, if you're reading this, have no fear. I will get you them as fast as my technology will allow with the expectations you, well, expected. I'm not sacrificing quality for speed. I'm sacrificing SLEEP to get these done.
So, with that, I'm back to the grindstone to finish my work and get these weddings to the couples.
Until next time, enjoy the good weather!

On the move...
Well, the time has come. i DO in HD is taking it's productions to Massachusetts. We are very excited to be starting this next chapter in our lives and can't wait to start shooting in the beautiful northeastern section of the USA!
Crisp, fall weddings are beautiful to behold. I should know, I was married October 15th 1994 in Connecticut. Beautiful colors!
I will miss the beauty that is Arizona and it's people. I thank you all for allowing me to be part of your wedding day and wish you all the best life has to offer.
Sincerely yours.

The Winter Wedding Rush....
It's February. Well, the end of February, at least, and I'm still under tremendous pressure to finish my winter weddings. I have had a tremendous amount of weddings this past fall and winter. Included in that mix, I've been shooting and editing corporate videos and getting ready for the tax season. This is definitely the year I'm going to expand the wedding video business!
I want to thank and congratulate all of the brides and grooms out there who chose to have a wedding video. My philosophy has always been "Photos capture the moment, Video captures the day." Some things you just cannot capture with photos. Like audio. The sounds, along with the video help to make the memory of your special day last longer. A big bonus is that now you have a dvd that you can show to people who weren't there. They can also enjoy and re-live the moment you said "I do."
With better cameras, microphones, lights, editing equipment and software, wedding videos are becoming more creative, and turnaround times are more efficient in the process.
Don't get me wrong...it still takes time to go through all that footage and organize, select clips, select music, edit, preview, more editing, color correcting, still more editing, audio adjusting, one final edit, convert for dvds, build dvd menus, organize, author to dvds and them finally print/burn labels. Aaahhh, I'm tired just typing it.
But then you watch it.
And the reaction I get from all the couples who watch their videos makes all the difference in the world. And it makes me happy. Which is why I love doing this.
So, until next time, have a wonderful day. I've got to get back to editing.
