The Winter Wedding Rush....

It's February. Well, the end of February, at least, and I'm still under tremendous pressure to finish my winter weddings. I have had a tremendous amount of weddings this past fall and winter. Included in that mix, I've been shooting and editing corporate videos and getting ready for the tax season. This is definitely the year I'm going to expand the wedding video business!

I want to thank and congratulate all of the brides and grooms out there who chose to have a wedding video. My philosophy has always been "Photos capture the moment, Video captures the day." Some things you just cannot capture with photos. Like audio. The sounds, along with the video help to make the memory of your special day last longer. A big bonus is that now you have a dvd that you can show to people who weren't there. They can also enjoy and re-live the moment you said "I do."
With better cameras, microphones, lights, editing equipment and software, wedding videos are becoming more creative, and turnaround times are more efficient in the process.

Don't get me wrong...it still takes time to go through all that footage and organize, select clips, select music, edit, preview, more editing, color correcting, still more editing, audio adjusting, one final edit, convert for dvds, build dvd menus, organize, author to dvds and them finally print/burn labels. Aaahhh, I'm tired just typing it.

But then you watch it.

And the reaction I get from all the couples who watch their videos makes all the difference in the world. And it makes me happy. Which is why I love doing this.

So, until next time, have a wonderful day. I've got to get back to editing.
